Vocab
A Major = a person's major subject of study in the US.
The degree students receive after four years of study is in their major (eg, a bachelor's degree in chemistry). A student can study for two more years to receive a master's degree and 3-5 more years for a Ph.D.
IT refers to Information Technology.
